hi I'm Erin Clark from well played comm
and I have a pink drink for you today
this is my blueberry beet smoothie no
matter how you feel about beets whether
you love them or hate them you've got to
give this smoothie a try it's refreshing
its fruity and it is a guaranteed way to
start your day on a positive note plus
the color is absolutely gorgeous and it
starts as its name suggests with a beet
I'm using a small beep right here that I
have peeled with a vegetable peeler and
I'm just gonna cut it into a rough dice
depending on how powerful your blender
is you may want to cut it a little bit
smaller now if you are a little bit
nervous about having a beet for
breakfast I really encourage you to give
this a try because beets are actually
pretty sweet on their own naturally and
then when we combine them with the
blueberries some pineapple and a few
other ingredients they almost taste
imperceptible all right so to my blender
I'm going to add a half cup of almond
milk you can use any kind of milk you
like a full cup of blueberries I like to
use frozen blueberries because they
makes a smoothie nice and thick next I'm
going to add a smoothie game-changing
ingredient this is just a little bit of
frozen pineapple I don't know what it is
about pineapple but whenever I have a
quote-unquote questionable ingredient in
a smoothie and our case is beets or it
might be kale the pineapple just
completely neutralizes the flavor and
adds a really beautiful natural
sweetness to Plus pineapple just makes
me think of vacation and that is always
a good thing next some Greek yogurt this
makes the smoothie really creamy and add
some protein so it's nice and satisfying
and now the star ingredients are ruby
red beet now we blend

all right let's check it out oh I can
smell that pineapple and blueberry now
at this point if you want your smoothie
to have a little bit more sweetness you
can add some honey I'm feeling it just a
little sweet today so I'm gonna drizzle
some is very scientific here I'm calling
it one squeeze and then if you want your
smoothie a little thicker you can add a
couple of ice cubes to I'm perfectly
happy with it just how it is

ready to serve just look at this
gorgeous color now you can enjoy all of
this smoothie now or you can actually
throw a lid on it and keep it in your
refrigerator overnight then stir it up
the next day so this is a great
make-ahead breakfast option too but I'm
gonna enjoy it right about now
mmm it's so creamy and I'm really
getting that little bit of brightness
from the pineapple and the beat is there
but it is super super subtle I'm Erin
